Am 18. Maerz versammelten sich Aktivisten von Friends of the Earth vor der BHP-Billiton Niederlassung in Melbourne. Anlaesslich der “World Water Week” machten sie auf den Wasserverbrauch von BHP-Billiton aufmerksam. BHP-Billiton pumpt taeglich 35 Millionen Liter Wasser aus dem “Great Artisan Basin” einem riesigen unterirdischen Wassersystem um die Uranmine Olympic Dam zu versorgen.
